Animal Sculpture Class

• 6 sessions, Mondays at 6 - 9pm
• November 9th - December 14th, 2026

  
  

Class Description: This class is perfect for anyone curious about transforming clay into recognizable animal sculptures. Follow the process from research and planning, through sculpting and refining form and texture, with a discussion of finishing techniques.

We’ll start with a discussion on gathering and using reference images–please bring any print or digital media you’d like to start with, along with a sketchbook. 

Over the course of the session, you’ll explore essential hand-building techniques—such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction—while discovering how to shape, refine, and bring your creatures to life in three dimensions. We’ll cover using both basic and unconventional tools to help create life-like form and texture. Whether you’re creating a small figure, or a large dramatic form, you’ll build confidence as you go and leave with a unique sculpture of your own. No experience needed—just a willingness to play and create!

Hot Spring Capybara Trinket Dish Workshop

• One-day, 3 hour workshop, 1:30 - 4:30pm
• Sunday, November 15th

Class Description: Join our fun and interactive family-style clay class and dive into the fascinating world of pottery. We’ll use the slab method to create a cute little trinket dish of a Capybara enjoying a soak in the Hot Springs! Just in time for the cooler months. Will your capy be vibing in a natural stone-lined pool, or a cozy wooden tub? Please bring a hand towel and make sure to wear clothes you aren’t worried about getting clay or paint on.

Age Limitations: Ages 13 and Up

Fall Leaf Trinket Dish Workshop

Class Description: Join our fun and interactive family-style clay class and dive into the fascinating world of pottery. We’ll use the slab & imprint methods to create your own one-of-a-kind fall leaf trinket dish! Will you adorn it with an acorn, or perhaps a tiny pumpkin? Bring a leaf of your own (fresh, NOT dry and crunchy), or use one of ours to imprint a natural texture in a slab of clay.
